2021-2022
Period 3
The goal of this course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, and to evaluate the risks associated with these problems while examining alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. In this class, students will gain an appreciation for the natural world and understand the impact our daily actions have on the earth, both positively and negatively. Students will be required to commit time to reading, problem solving, and critical thinking. AP Environmental Science is designed to prepare students for the College Board AP Environmental Science exam, and it is expected that enrolled students will take this exam at the end of the year.
